Naturopathic medical approaches are rooted in a different paradigm than typical allopathic medical systems, which primarily focus on diagnosis and treatment – usually with pharmaceuticals or surgery. While this systematic approach can be lifesaving, it often misses one critical aspect of what helps the human body to thrive. The environment – both internally and externally are rarely addressed, so preventative strategies are not usually considered, but this should be the foundation of healthcare. Healthy environments produce healthy humans.
From the beginning, God established principles for health, healing, and stewardship of the body and the earth. Yet as modern life evolved, decisions about what has become the norm have been shaped more by profit than by safety or long-term well-being. We acquiesced to practices and products that were not aligned with what God created, and our bodies now bear the consequences. Chemicals and toxins we are exposed to daily quietly accumulate in us based on the foods we eat and other things in our environment. This is why chronic diseases have increased dramatically. Many healthcare professionals are not making these connections because the most accessible medical providers are not taught to consider why a patient has a chronic condition and how to reverse it when possible. As a result, the body of Christ suffers.
My calling became clear in 2014. God showed me that I am to teach His people how to care for their physical bodies through preventative strategies. What’s cool is several years before this revelation, I attained a master’s degree in science education. How convenient! Now, I fully embrace this calling to uplift, equip, and encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ. My desire is to help you all shift the way you think about and approach your health. I will teach you strategies to protect and strengthen your body so you can have the vigor necessary to complete the assignments God has given you. Just imagine how much you can accomplish for the kingdom of God when you feel amazing! When we apply foundational principles and intentional strategies, our outcomes will be different. Energy, clarity, purpose, and resilience can be restored. This is part of our collective calling as believers.
I pray that the work I produce will simplify your journey. We were never meant to struggle endlessly with our health. We were meant to live anchored in faith and grounded in God’s promises. Christ did not conquer sickness for us to live defeated by it. We also must remember that some illnesses have spiritual associations. Jesus often healed people by driving out demonic spirits, reminding us that the natural and spiritual realms also can play a role in health outcomes. The body of Christ needs trusted voices to address both dimensions, and I am committed to being one of them. Together, we can address the threats against our health from every angle.
As branches connected to the True Vine, we are called to bear fruit that draws others to Christ. Our lives should inspire nonbelievers to wonder, “How are they thriving like that? Maybe there is something about Jesus I need to know.” It is time for us to step fully into purpose. The enemy has sown confusion into our environment and disguised his influence, but we are not ignorant of his strategies. Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) reminds us that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
It is time to stand. It is time to reclaim our health. It is time to fight and win. By God’s power, we will.
Let’s begin the journey together!
