Dr. Amanda Alexander

Dr. Amanda Alexander earned her BS in Biology from the University of Georgia, an MS in Science Education from Georgia State University, and her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Sonoran University, where she also completed a General Medicine residency. As a licensed naturopathic physician, her medical practice focuses on hormonal and gastrointestinal health. Known for her compassionate and whole-person care approach, Dr. Alexander addresses the root causes of illness through detoxification, nutrient repletion, botanical and environmental medicine, hydrotherapy, and mind–body therapies, while emphasizing lifestyle and nature cure principles.

Dr. Alexander is a professor and the Inclusive Excellence Director for the College of Naturopathic Medicine at Sonoran University. She represents the institution through the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE), the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges’ (AANMC) Compassion, Excellence, Equity Committee (CEEC), and as a board member of the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME). As a sought-after speaker and media guest, Dr. Alexander has been featured on TBN, CBS, NBC, and numerous podcasts. She is the author of Dear God, Bless This Mess: What Christians Should Know About Food, Health & Healing and Dear God, Bless This Mess Too: A Christian’s Guide to Navigate Our Toxic Environment.
